Dinesh Edem, MDDABOM, FACP, FACE
Thoughtful care for the whole metabolic picture.
Dr. Dinesh Edem is a triple board-certified endocrinologist, obesity medicine specialist, educator, and founder of Elite EndoMet in Little Rock.
Practicing in Arkansas since December 2021, he brings together academic experience and personalized care for obesity, diabetes, endocrine conditions, and long-term metabolic health.
His goal is to help you understand your health, feel confident in your treatment plan, and make progress toward the outcomes that matter most to you.

Living with diabetes, weight concerns, or a hormonal condition can feel overwhelming. Dr. Edem believes that good care begins with listening carefully and understanding your experience.
He takes time to explain what your symptoms and test results mean, discuss your options, and develop a plan that fits your medical needs, personal goals, and everyday life. Patients frequently describe him as knowledgeable, thorough, caring, and skilled at making complicated medical issues easier to understand.
His approach combines practical guidance on nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and sustainable habits with medications and other treatments when appropriate. Decisions are made together with clear explanations of the expected benefits and potential risks.
At Elite EndoMet, this means looking at the whole metabolic picture—including how weight, blood sugar, hormones, and other health conditions influence one another.
During his tenure at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences from 2021–2024, he established and directed an academic Medical Weight Management Center. He subsequently established a community-based weight management center at CHI St. Vincent during 2024–2026.
That experience informs his approach at Elite EndoMet: individualized, evidence-based treatment that addresses the medical and everyday challenges of managing weight.
For people with Type 2 diabetes, care may include pursuing remission when clinically appropriate, alongside improving blood sugar control and reducing long-term health risks. Goals are tailored to each person’s history and circumstances.
